There was a chance that the annual Zombie Walk in Ottawa (now a world wide event) would be cancelled due to security and insurance costs. This morning on the Doc and Woody Show we were able to inform organizers that CHEZ 106 will step in and take care of those costs so the Walk can continue. Get ready Zombies!!!! Oct. 27

F A N T A S T I C!!! And a great big bouquet to CHEZ for doing this. First of all, I hate the way our city is now THE CITY THAT FUN FORGOT. I have never seen the people that take part in this Walk get rowdy, disorderly, etc., and I have watched a few of them now. Toronto cops do it for free, and they even have these walks in all the little town around Ottawa (Carleton Place, etc).
I enjoy watching and wouldn’t mind contributing a Looney or Toonie, as I’m sure anyone else watching or taking part wouldn’t mind doing also. Another ‘Cash Grab’ from our no-so-wonderful Mayor and City Council. Actually, most of the counsellors could take part – they are already in the ‘role’.

I have been a 106 fan for more decades than I want to think about and have always thought the station and people rock. Saving the Zombie Walk is an awesome move on your part, too bad the city wasn’t in the game (and apparently doesn’t have a clue). We and friends will be travelling from Brockville to the walk, Rock On and thank you

I heard it on the radio the other day and thought it was great that Chez got involved with this . May I add that it would be great to have a street reserved at some point and have everyone do the the new dance craze Gangnan style and have this recorded for a new record ………. I think you would get a lot of responce, I know I talked to my kids and they are for it…… cheers
