Randall’s Rant (Fri. Jan. 23): A new plant was about to set up shop in Smiths Falls. It would mean full-time jobs, big tax dollars for the town. Then someone complained. Appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board. The company said the Hell with it, not worth the hassle. Because of one complaint! ~ Randall
As expected, Rush have announced a three-month tour to celebrate 40 years as a band, and a return to the road after a taking a long break. Unfortunately, they forgot to add Ottawa to the itinerary.

Randall’s Rant (Wed. Jan. 21): Toronto police have charged three Leaf fans after they threw Leaf jerseys onto the ice at the Air Canada Centre. The three received fines. There could be criminal charges next time, police say. What’s your take on all this? Mine on the Rant. ~ Randall
