    AC/DC

On a VH1 program, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson hinted a new album might be in the works for 2012, but he recently explained that illness in the band has stalled progress. The plan is to record early this year and tour later. We'll keep you posted!

    AEROSMTIH

In a recent interview, guitarist Joe Perry said this: “And we’re definitely touring this summer. We’re gonna put tickets on sale in February or March and we’re going on the road in June. Everybody’s lined up. We’re ready.” We're ready too! We've sent out the spies to see if the band plans to come this way.

    BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

He's taking the E Street Band on the road in 2012. There are two big questions; Who will replace the Big Man and will they play Ottawa?

    DEF LEPPARD & POISON

Phil Collen of Def Leppard has just announced that the band will hit the road this summer, and according to Bret Michaels of Poison, his band will be with them again as opening act. Lots of details to be ironed out but Canadian dates are up for discussion.

    IRON MAIDEN

Iron Maiden have just revealed dates for a HUGE world tour. Quebec City July 8, Montreal July 11, Toronto July 13- leaving a few open dates. Will they hit Ottawa this time?

    KISS

They are about to release a new album ("Monster") and they plan to tour behind it. There's also a rumour that they may tour with Motley Crue. They've played Ottawa before and we've given them a GREAT reception!

    LED ZEPPELIN

Yes, the British tabloids are full of rumours that Led Zepplin will reunite to play a show at the 2012 Olympics in London. Even if they did, the chances of a world tour are slim to none. Why? Robert Plant.

    MOTLEY CRUE

They are about to play a series of shows at the Hard Rock in Vegas. Insiders tell us that they're considering a tour if everything goes well. There are also some very hot rumours that they are looking at a road trip as the opening band for Kiss. One can only imagine the backstage antics!!!!

    Metallica

Could a Metallica tour be a reality in 2012? What if the rumoured Black Sabbath reunion tour ended up being a double bill? Lars Ulrich has reportedly told fans to to expect a “big announcement” in early 2012
    Neil Young

    NEIL YOUNG & CRAZY HORSE

Neil has just announced that he's finished an album with Crazy Horse, and they're already working on another one! They will perform at the Paul McCartney tribute Feb 10 in LA. A tour is in the works and we're ready to see him in Ottawa again!

    PINK FLOYD

They've done it in the past for "Live 8" and former members of the band have put differences aside to play together. A Pink Floyd reunion tour is not out of the question. The British Press are reporting that the group will reunite to play at the 2012 Olympics. Could that lead to a tour?

    QUEEN

Queen are rumoured to be calling back Paul Rogers as lead vocalist for a one-off show during the 2012 London Olympics. On the other hand, just about every major UK band is "rumoured" to be playing. Even if it's true, Roger Taylor and Brian May are focused on producing the "Queen Extravaganza" (a Queen tribute-type band). It's more likely that Q.E. will play Ottawa before the real deal!

    THE ROLLING STONES

2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Stones. How can they NOT tour? And while we wait for the big announcement- consider the fact that they chose to play here in 2005. Why not 2012 too?

    TOM PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS

    ORANGE ALERT

They recently announced a huge tour, with only 2 Canadian dates (St John's and Halifax)! Insiders say that Petty and Co. have every intention of including the REST of The Great White North on another leg of the tour and that Ottawa is "under consideration"!
