Bruce Springsteen wants his name removed from lawsuit
Lawsuit against a bar for playing Springsteen songs has Boss' name attached.
Bruce Springsteen wants his name removed from a lawsuit that's going after a Manhattan bar for playing his songs. The lawsuit, filed by ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), seeks damages from Connolly's Pub. The lawsuit alleges the pub violated Springsteen's copyrights by letting a bar band perform two of his songs. A statement on Springsteen's website says the Boss was unaware of the lawsuit, and that he would never have agreed to be a plaintiff had he been asked.
