April 7th is National Beer Day! (Like you needed an excuse to have one 😉 ). To celebrate, here’s 10 Canadian Craft Beers you should keep an eye out for:

10. Paddockwood 606


Brewed Out Of: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Description: English style IPA with American hop finish



9. Holy Smoke Scotch Ale


Brewed Out Of: Cambellford, Ontario

Description: This 6.25% abv ale is dark and malty, and is enhanced with smoked whisky malt straight from Scotland

8. Mill Street Organic


Brewed Out Of: Toronto, On

Description: Ontario’s first organic lager. Brewed with imported malt and hops, this 4.2% European-style lager offers a light, crisp and refreshing flavour, with a clean finish.

7. Rye Pale Ale


Brewed Out Of: Oakville, On

Discription:  A combination of seven different floral British and pungent American hops, some which are added in a dry hopping process.  This involves adding hops directly to the fermented beer in the fermenter.  The hops are well supported by a large malt bill of five character malts with a massive portion of rye which contributes to mouth feel and Cameron’s Rye Pale Ale’s own special character

Discription: A German-style black lager with a crisp dry finish

5. St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout

Description: An intensely black ale that carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate

4. Red Racer Pale Ale

Brewed Out Of: Surrey BC

Description: This big bold pale ale has a citrus aroma and a full malt body giving it a distinctive character designed to inspire the beer connoisseur in all of us.

3. Great Lakes Brewery Crazy Canuck Pale Ale


Brewed Out Of: Toronto, On

Description: Canuck pours a deep gold, bordering on burnt orange that produces a tight snowy white toque. Take one last nose before getting into the liquid, which you’ll soon find will be hard to put down. Soft carbonation leads into a sweet honeyish start before it gives way to more grapefruit, tropical citrus, canned peaches and pine. Light to medium body with a very dry finish.

2. Fat Tug IPA


Brewed Out Of: Victoria, BC

Description: Brewed with the hop aficionado in mind, Fat Tug is a Northwest-style India Pale Alewith an intense hop profile featuring notes of grapefruit, mango, melon and passionfruit. Sufficient malt is there to provide support.
