According to Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, the follow-up to the bands 2017 album, Concrete and Gold, is finished.

“We just finished making a record. Some of those songs, the best ones happen in 45 minutes, then there’s other songs — there’s a riff on the new record I’ve been working on for 25 years. The first time I demoed it was in my basement in Seattle” he said on the Bill Simmons podcast today.

This could also potentially put an end to the strange and cryptic messages the band has been posting to social media.

In addition to the new album, Grohl announced that he’s working on a documentary on van touring.

“The van was the tour bus for the punk rockers in the ’80s. Everyone had a van. I’ve interviewed everybody and you’d be surprised. The Beatles toured in a van. Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, U2. Everybody.”

This will be Grohl’s first full-length documentary since Sound City, which was released in 2013. It also marks his first non-music project since the 2014 docuseries, Sonic Highways.

Listen to the FULL interview below. Catch Dave Grohl’s part around the 48-minute mark.
